Iraq - 12 Terrorist Killed

That's how the headline should read in both this Reuters and this BBC article. But instead Reuter's reads "12 killed in Iraq fire-fight". 12 who? Iraqis, Americans, terrorists, tourists?

The BBC's headline shows their bias. "US kills 12 in Iraq border clash". The BBC puts the blame on the US without telling you who was killed. For that you have to read the article.

The US military in Iraq has said it killed 12 insurgents in clashes on Monday near the Syrian border.

Since the Iraqi people have voted and have now sworn in a new government, surely these people should properly be labled terrorists.

It's not just the use of the term "insurgents" instead of terrorists the BBC uses to slant the story. More and more the BBC are using bias by omission. The BBC failed to mention the terrorist connection to Saturdays London march by Muslims allegedly protesting anti terror laws and the war in Iraq.

In this BBC report of the border clash the BBC once again leave out some critical details that puts things in a different light.

All of the nine men killed were heavily armed with assault rifles and hand grenades, the U.S. military said.

Three more people were killed by a coalition airstrike on the camp.

Coalition forces found fake identification cards, foreign currency and other things which the U.S. military said linked the people at the camp and on the truck to Zarqawi's network.

There is no doubt whose side the BBC are on.
